Contrary to numerous rumors, the Firmware 2.80 hit today (not tomorrow.) Details after the break

Details:
“The playback quality of some PLAYSTATION 3 format software has been improved.”

I swear, we need Eric Lempel to come on the show and explain what this actually means….

  • ACtually, there have been reports, and I checked as well, that the XMB loads faster, even in-game. Also, someone said that the trophies seem to be loading faster as well. I went and checked a bunch of my friends' trophies and yes, it does seem as if they're loading a lot faster.
