Zombies Shamble Their Way into COD: Black Ops

Arguably the best feature of Treyarch’s 2008 Call of Duty: World at War was the Nazi Zombie mode, which featured co-op play as small teams worked to keep a zombie horde from overtaking their position. Today it was announced that a Zombie mode would be included in the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops, releasing for the PS3 November 9th. Four-player co-op was confirmed, but few other gameplay details were released. For fans of Zombie mode Mark Lamia, Treyarch Studio Head, noted, “We’ve taken extra special care to retain the essential ingredients of our Zombie game, and have also crafted a nice surprise for the fans.” What kind of surprise? What changes are going to be made? It is anyone’s guess at this point. We may just have to sit tight till November.

Another recently announced addition to Call of Duty: Black Ops is four updated co-op maps from Call of Duty: World at War will available with the Prestige and Hardened editions of the game.
