Buy Borderlands GOTY Get Access to Duke Nukem Demo

As reported last week, Borderlands Game of the Year edition is coming October 12th, for $59.99, and will include a voucher for all four DLC packs. However, 2K Games and Gearbox are throwing a little extra something special in the mix. Announced today, when you buy Borderlands GOTY edition you will receive a free membership certificate to the Duke Nukem Forever First Access Club. When players register their membership certificate, via a unique key, they will get earliest possible access to the Duke Nukem Forever demo. No definite date for the demo or retail release has been announced, though Duke Nukem Forever is scheduled to be on shelves in calendar year 2011. If you have got an itch for shooting everything in sight you now have one more reason to scratch it with Borderlands Game of the Year edition.

These game of the year versions are great! I always end up playing games about a year after they come out anyway (batman atm) so to have all the DLC is a win.

Will this new Duke 3D be in 3D?

BTW does anyone remember the original Duke games by apogee (shareware!). A side scroller that I loved even before Duke 3D came out.

I’m with you on GOTY editions. Still waiting for the Fallout 3 GOTY to drop in price, because even though I have a copy of the vanilla Fallout 3 adding all the expansions would still cost $50. I also tend to wait for games to drop in price. Last year I bought next to nothing most of the year and cashed in on the week of Thanksgiving via the Amazon.com gold box deals and Black Friday discounts. I will probably do that again this year as well. I still have a huge backlog and those games, even the PS and PS2 ones, are great.
