A Superhero-Sized Amount of New Info On Marvel vs. Capcom 3

So you are a Marvel true believer and an old school Capcom fan. Well get ready for a brain-busting torrent of information on Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. This third entry into the long dormant fighting series will be hitting shelves February 15, 2011. Did someone say Valentine’s Day gift? Throw a red bow on it and you are good to go.

Numerous returning veteran fighters and surprising new comers have been announced. Now two more are entering the fray. She-Hulk will be beautifully smashing her way into the game from the Marvel Universe and Z-saber slashing onto the roster, from Capcom’s stable, is Zero.

In addition to She-Hulk and Zero, two classic fighters are returning to MvC3, Jill Valentine, of Resident Evil fame, and Shuma Gorath, nemesis of Dr. Strange. These two returning characters will be available via DLC four weeks after the game’s launch, so mid March 2011. These four newly announced characters join a diverse roster including Capcom favorites Arthur, Nathan “Rad” Spencer, Wesker, Tron Bonne, Viewtiful Joe, Amaterasu, Dante, Ryu, Morrigan, Chris Redfield, Felicia, Trish and Chun-Li, with Marvel represented by such icons as Magneto, M.O.D.O.K., Spider-Man, X-23, Dormmamu, Thor, Deadpool, Hulk, Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain America, Doctor Doom and Super-Skrull.

For the MvC3 super fans out there Capcom has also released Special Edition details. Retailing for only $10 more ($69.99) than the standard edition ($59.99) this packed version gives you a steelbook case with exlcusive art, a 12-page prologue comic written by Frank Tieri, a 1-month subscription to Marvel Digital Comics with unlimited access to Marvel content; and the 2 DLC characters, Jill Valentine and Shuma Gorath, once they are available.

And if you plan to preorder either version of MvC3 at GameStop then you get an additional bonus of three exclusive console decals. These collectibles feature Ryu, Wolverine, Deadpool, and Dante, plus their essential move sets.

While fans of the Marvel vs. Capcom series have been waiting ten years for a proper sequel to MvC2, Capcom looks to be pulling out all the stops for this release. Whether you want to “Hulk Smash!” your opponent into next week or Mega Buster their face off MvC3 is ready to feed your addiction all over again.
