The SWARM Comes To PS3 Early Next Year

What is it with people and blue beings these days?  And why do blue creatures always have to be the recipients of ill-treatment and oppression?   Take the blue people from the movie Avatar, for example: vacated from their large home tree and then forced to take up arms against their enemy.  Then we have the Smurfs: peace-loving creatures that want nothing more than to sing, dance and eat, and yet there is always someone who wants to take that away from them…in this case, Gargamel.  Why can’t blue people be left alone?

Perhaps you as the player can answer that, after you play UTV Ignition and Hothead Game’s new PSN title,  SWARM, for the PlayStation 3.  For only then, after controlling over 50 little Swarmites at the same time and plowing them through brutal environments (most of which will lead to their gruesome and untimely death), will you be able to explain why there is an obsession with hurting these poor little guys.

Ultimately, it comes down to fun, and from what we’ve seen, the game will deliver on that.

“Swarm lets players take control of 50 utterly fearless Swarmites and
drive them through an intense, entertaining and often suicidal battle
of survival. Run, bash, huddle, boost, stack, jump, push and throw
your way through gauntlets of death and destruction in an attempt to
collect valuable DNA and ensure that at least one Swarmite survives.”

I bet the Swarmites don’t feel as excited about UTV Ignition and Hothead’s description of the game.

Fortunately, a video is worth 30-60 words a second, and thus, is worth over 60,000 words, so take a look at the funny trailer to what promises to be an awesome PSN title when it’s released early 2011.
