XSEED Games Announces Limited Edition Of The Legend Of Heroes: Trails In The Sky For PSP

I remember when my PSP was barely learning how to walk.  I couldn’t wait to see it grow up to be a mature little system with strong RPG titles to call its own.  The Legend of Heroes series provided my first glimpse of RPGs on the tougher little handheld, and I remember it fondly.  So, discovering that there was a new game in the series coming to PSP took point over the news that there would also be a limited edition of the game (which is also great news).

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky introduces us to Estelle and Joshua, two individuals who aspire to become Bracers.  The Bracers are the Jedi Knights of this world.  Independent of any country or government, they have been serving peace and justice for years, and our duo begins their story as trainees for the elite group.  Like previous games in the Legend series, your quest will take you across all corners of the world, as you try to bring down a corrupt government agency.

“As the ultimate adventure to arrive on the PSP® system, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky boasts an unparalleled RPG experience with over 50 hours of gameplay, an intricate customizable combat system, a meticulously detailed game world full of life, and a narrative that encompasses politics, economy, conspiracy and fantasy alike, with an in-game newspaper that releases new issues as the story progresses, an 11-part mystery novel, and much, much more to be collected. The main cast of well-developed characters in a richly-detailed 3D world wholly immerses players in an RPG of epic proportions.”
And then there’s the better news.  Fans will have the option to pre-order the Limited Edition of the game for $39.99 (standard game is $29.99).  Included in the package will be a soundtrack CD, a 13-inch by 19.5-inch poster, and a Bracer Guild replica metal badge (You might need this stinkin’ badge).

For those of you who are new (yet curious) to the series, the great news is that Trails in the Sky will introduce a new standalone storyline, so jumping into the series with this title will not have you checking Wiki for information on previous titles.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is scheduled for release in March.
