Smithsonian Seeking Input From Gamers on New Exhibit

I spend my 9-to-5, bring-home-a-paycheck, working life in a museum and spend most nights playing video games. Rarely do these two worlds intersect outside of the Venn diagram that is my life. However, that’ s about to change. Announced today the Smithsonian American Art Museum is asking you, me, and our fellow video gamers to provide them with input on what games from the medium’s 40 year history should be included in an upcoming exhibit entitled “The Art of Video Games.” Scheduled for March 16 through September 30, 2012 the exhibit will explore the art and visual effects of gaming. Through April 7, 2011 the public can vote on which 80 games, from a pool of 240 choices, will be included in the exhibit via screen shots or short video clips. To find out more and cast your votes head to the exhibit’s website here.
