Wizardry Returns To Consoles With “Labyrinth of Lost Souls”

It’s been around longer than some of you have been alive, and the series has also been responsible for the billions (ok maybe not that many) of role-playing games that have employed 3D grid-based dungeons (you know, the Dungeons & Dragons computer games, Phantasy Star 1, Might and Magic).  And now the series that started it all is coming to PlayStation 3 this Spring.  Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls brings back the classic dungeons-exploring gameplay but accompanies it with updated high-resolution art work by famous commercial artist Yuki Hayabusa.

“Players will develop a party of up to six members culled from a rich mix of five races and eight classes, and prepare to encounter over 120 different monsters.”

While not much is known regarding the game’s story, XSEED Games promises to divulge more information in the coming weeks.  Keep your elven eyes on PSNation for more information on the return of a classic series.  Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is coming to the PlayStation Store this Spring.
