Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Trailer

Ever feel like the odds are stacked against you? Well apparently that’s the daily dilemma of a USS (Umbrella Security Service) officer. Based on the latest trailer from Capcom, Operation Raccoon City is going to pit you, as one of Umbrella’s finest, against a US Spec Ops task-force, a crafty city cop named Leon Kennedy, hundreds of zombies, and B.O.W.s, the official name for Tyrants. As a loyal Umbrella soldier you are trying to cover up the September 1998 Raccoon City T-Virus outbreak, the setting of Resident Evil 2 and 3. Of course the US Spec Ops are looking for incriminating evidence against Umbrella. The hero of Resident Evil 2, and later Resident Evil 4, Leon Kennedy is simply trying to survive and get out of Raccoon City. The zombies just want to chew into you and have you join the T Virus party. And the B.O.W.s are sent in to try to provide you some support, but will attack indiscriminately, so watch your back.

This latest trailer shows off the four members of your USS squad: Vector, Spectre, Beltway, and Bertha. Each squad member has unique abilities with Vector able to cloak, rendering him invisible, while Spectre provides intel, Beltway commands the heavy firepower and explosives and Bertha tends to wounds as a medic. You can play through the game solo, but grabbing three friends to fill out your squad and take on the US Spec Ops forces just sounds like more fun. Also, for Resident Evil story aficionados Raccoon City allows you to play out alternate events in the series’ storyline, like the USS killing Leon Kennedy.

Get ready to return to the scene of the crime this winter when Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City hits store shelves.
