PSN Restoration: Phase One, Begins

Over the weekend, Sony announced the return of the PlayStation Network and Qriocity Service. What this means to gamers is that you now have access to online play once again. This includes access to your friend’s list, online gaming,

This phase of restoration also includes the use of Netflix, Hulu, Vudu and MLB.tv, as well as access to previously-rented videos from PSN. Qriocity’s Music Unlimited has also been restored.

What we still don’t have access to is the PlayStation Store.

While most of you will have already jumped on board with the updates this weekend, those who haven’t will be prompted to download the new firmware update, followed by a required change of password.

I noticed a small hit last night, where the PSN was down for a while, but a few moments later it was back up again. So it sounds like they might still be working on some issues, but it seems like we’re on the track for this whole situation to be over.

This, just in time to play L.A. Noire. Well, you could still do that, despite the system being down. The question is, will access to DLC be affected with the PlayStation Store being down?

Funnily enough the part I miss the most still is the store.  I guess I just love giving Sony my money….

    • You’re not alone.  I just heard that Monster World IV (from the old Sega series) is coming to PSN later this year.  So I’m a PSN Store frequent buying, hehe
