Dungeons and Dragons: Daggerdale Release Date Announced

If you’re craving the old dungeon-crawling gameplay (that is all but non-existent in this day and age), then 2011 has something in store for you. Last month we saw Dungeon Hunters on PSN. A decent game, considering the price. In June we will see the release of Dungeon Siege, by Square Enix. And next week (5/31) the name of Dungeons and Dragons will once again grace our presence with Dungeons and Dragons: Daggerdale.

Atari updated their Facebook page with the announcement. Apparently, the Xbox 360 and PC versions will be out this week, so perhaps this is an indication that the PlayStation store will be returning soon, and with all of the updates it will endure, to compensate for the missing weeks, Dungeons and Dragons may have been pushed back a week, to allow room for the digital titles that missed their release because of the outage.

Either way, Dungeons and Dragons is coming soon. We’ll update you with some hands-on and opinions as soon as we get our +4 STR gauntlets on it.

  • That is cool that dungeons and dragons is coming out with daggerdale for PSN…the thing that i know will be on those that play the tabletop version of the game will be this question: Will it emulate the fourth edition rules? I know it is a dumb question for those of us who are video gamers, but, for those of us that not only do video but rpg games it is important. Mainly because we want to see the mechanics, spells, character classes, and monsters that we know and love in our D&D games. I do hope that they do so.
