House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut Comic Con Trailer

If you pick up the latest issue of Walking Dead on release day, just finished your 17th viewing of Zombieland, and can quote Shaun of the Dead backwards then boy has Sega got a game for you. House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut is a remastered version of the Wii shooter title that was released over two years ago. Instead of fumbling with Wii Remotes PlayStation 3 fans can enjoy this remake with the Move and in 3D. Not content to just offer enhanced visuals and a new control scheme Sega is adding two additional scenarios to the original seven. These new locales are glimpsed in the above trailer. I know fellow PS Nationalist, and resident House of the Dead freak, Joel is waiting with baited breath for this title to drop. He, and other zombie fans, won’t have to wait too long as Overkill –Extended Cut arrives in stores October 25th, just in time for Halloween.

I think you mean: “The PS3 needs more light-gun games” 😉

Anyway, looks like I have to get that gun attachment for PS Move to enjoy this game. Also reminded myself to get “Time Crisis: Razing Storm”

The remastered Wii game Dead Space Extraction that came bundled with Dead Space 2 was great for the PS Move.  I originally played that game on the Wii and was impressed with it.  I was blown away by how much they were able to clean it up and enhance the visuals for the PS3.  Because of this I too am looking forward to HOTD: Overkill.

No I really can’t wait to play wii bowling and excite truck on the PS3!
(actually excite truck wouldn’t be that bad….)

Do we know if this will support online co-op AND couch co-op?

    • Not sure. It mentions having online leaderboards but no mention of online coop. Maybe it’s yet to be announced rather than being an unavailable feature (fingers crossed). I’ll write and ask.

    • No online coop; just local coop. Get some friends ready and an extra Move controller peeps.

  • These are great articles justin, keep the coming!

  • Yeah I can’t wait for this one. Any support I can give to light gun games for the Move controller I’ll be sure to pick this one up.
