More PSN down-time in Europe today

SCEE have warned gamers there will be more maintenance on the PlayStation Network later today.

Last week, there was a spot of down-time that only affected Sony-published titles, but on this occasion the whole service is going offline.

However, if you sign on before it commences, you will NOT be logged out – so if you are desperate to get your online fix tonight, just leave your PS3 on the whole time, as you’ll be unable to sign back in later.

The maintenance is scheduled to last from 4:00pm today to 2:00am tomorrow (UK time).

[UPDATE]: SCEA have now also confirmed there will be maintenance in the North American region. However, you will still be able to sign in and play online. Patrick Seybold confirmed via the PS Blog that the only parts of the service to be affected are account management, password changes and signing up for a new account.
