EyePet And Friends Developer Interview

With the imminent release of EyePet and Friends upon us, we thought we’d give you a little taste of what’s coming. PS Nation spoke with Tom Gillo, Franchise Producer for the EyePet series as we got a live demo from a few of the developers. One of the most requested features, two pets on screen at once has been addressed along with better customization and more. Check it out:

Having already covered Play and Create, EyePet and Friends looks to move into the Share part of the “Play, Create, Share” mantra with the Online Community space. Sort of a Facebook for your pets, there’s an automatic News Feed, video and photo sharing, challenges and more. EyePet and Friends is scheduled to release on November 15 in North America and November 18 in the UK.

  • nice read, Oh and Josh where did you bury your Eyepet? (for lack of attention it died)

    • lol, I really need to go back and see if Butthead is still alive, poor guy.

  • I have a few questions about EyePet and Friends.

Sure two kids fighting over a Move controller to play with an EyePet was a problem with the first. This leads into the two questions.

    1) Will EyePet and Friends allow multiple PSN account logins? If my fiancee and I are playing together and she’s developing her pet on my name or does a certain task while playing on my user, she should be able to unlock trophies for doing it while in mine.

    2) Will EyePet and Friends allow online play with two pets? Meaning if I have the game and a friend on my PSN list has it too, will we be able to play with our pets together via online play? This was my big urk with the first. Rumors went around of an online beta for EyePet so two people could play with their pets together and most of those rumors suggested that you could do it via online. One of my PSN friends got the game also but well… No playing together for the first. :-/

One question not dealing with the fighting over Move controller or online play bit:

If we played the first will the contents we earned in the first work in the second as well?
