Fresh delay for Ridge Racer Unbounded

Upcoming PS3 title Ridge Racer Unbounded has been pushed back by a month. Namco‘s destructive new racer will now launch on March 30th.

The publisher issued a pretty standard, nondescript statement on the delay:

“The development team felt they needed a little bit of extra time to optimise the game.”

They did attempt to bury the news though by including it as part of a press release for the new Day One Edition of Unbounded. This limited run, which comes with a variety of DLC, will cost the same amount as the standard game. A few extra vehicles will be included, as well as, perhaps more interestingly, some liveries based on other Namco franchises:

  • Galaga – Hurricana CX
  • Pac-Man – Kinghawk GT
  • Tekken – Crimson TT
  • Ace Combat – Sylvian Type 8
  • Soul Calibur – Wolfseye GT
