Yet another great podcast even though Glenn’s voice was painful to listen to. Feel better YO!

“Raj is really looking forward to FIFA Street”

Well…..Raj WAS looking forward to FIFA Street…..until he played the demo and found out there was no gamebreakers or combos so it was not over-the-top/crazy in any way, and thus was not fun, basically just FIFA with less players on a smaller pitch.
    :-(

Would’ve been my game of the year, and now they’ve f**ked it up. Bring back EA Sports BIG!

Totally disagree with Roy’s “review” of FF. His complaints were not going to an inn? You mean I can keep going with the story and explanation. I like that. The hat on the cactaur was on the wrong place? Maybe its there because that’s as high up as your character can reach on a giant cactus dude.
This is a visually stunning game. Unlike many modern titles, there are no issues with tearing, lockups, falling through floors, etc. The battle system is similar, though not as complex, as FF XXIII-1. The overall gameplay is reminiscent of Kingdom Hearts in that you are free to explore small areas interconnected through time and space, areas are unlocked by completing different objectives. Not open world, but much less linear than XXIII-1. My criticisms would be that while most battles on “normal” mode are relatively easy, the occasional boss battles are ridiculously difficult. A little balance between the two would be nicer – make normal battles a little harder and make the boss battles achievable. The story arc is fairly logical and contains many JRPG tropes. The music is definitely above par with many genres covered from metal to jazz-fusion. Voice acting is okay – not on par with Uncharted, but not annoying or in the way. At least I don’t have to hear a voice trigger that is the same every freaking time I access an item transfer like Skyrim.
