Square Enix brings PS2 classics to PSN

European PS3 owners are in for a treat, as a quartet of Square Enix titles are heading to the PSN in the ‘PS2 Classics‘ range throughout the month of May. The four titles were originally published by Eidos, but since then, Square Enix have taken over.

Today’s update saw Just Cause added, which of course has since seen a sequel that opted for a slight name change – Josh Cause 2. The other three titles will be Conflict Vietnam, Conflict Desert Storm 2 and Deus Ex. The latter title will obviously be fresh in gamers minds after last year’s excellent Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

The release schedule is as follows:

  • May 9th – Just Cause – £7.99 / EUR 9.99
  • May 16th – Deus Ex – £7.99 / EUR 9.99
  • May 23rd – Conflict Desert Storm 2 – £5.49 / EUR 6.99
  • May 30th – Conflict Vietnam – £5.49 / EUR 6.99

At present there is no word on North American releases, but I wouldn’t expect them to be too far behind.
