E3 2012: ‘Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation’ Confirmed

PS Nation reported that a potential Vita version of the popular series, Assassin’s Creed, was in the works. Earlier today at the Sony Press Conference it was confirmed. Here’s the trailer!

Not only will this be an exclusive Vita title, but there will be a crystal white Vita bundle launched with the game. Check out Nathan’s article about that for more details.

The Vita version has a brand new female character, a New Orleans setting, and a new storyline. The console version and Vita version will also connect in interesting ways. If you play both versions, you unlock new character costumes, ammo upgrades, and more. Looks like there is a reason to get both.

  • This game makes me happy, not only does it look
fantastic, it is on the Vita. I have to say this as well, it is nice for me as
a female gamer to have an character like this whom is awesome and does not have
her ass and boobs hanging out. No offense guys, you can understand right? This
was a pretty well kept secret and a wonderful surprise. I especially like the
possible interactivity between the two games.

Much more excited for this than I can Black Ops or PSOne titles on the Vita.  More Vita only games really is a good thing.  I did however expect them to spend more time talking about specific new games for the Vita and less about Wonderbook 🙁
