God of War: Ascension Beta and DLC News

There has been little news about the God of War: Ascension beta since its announcement a little over a month ago. Until now. PlayStation Blog has outlined the details of one of the most anticipated titles coming to PS3 next spring.

The God of War: Ascension beta will be coming to PS Plus members this winter. In the multiplayer beta, each warrior will align themselves with one of four Gods who will grant a different set of unlockable powers, armor sets and abilities, which leads to a unique style of play for each God. If you played the game at E3, Gamescom, or PAX, then you’ll be in for a nice surprise. According to the blog, gameplay has been improved and the beta will include never-before-seen content. Along with this announcement, Sony released a brand new trailer. Check it out!

In other God of War news, if you pre-order Ascension at GameStop, you will receive an exclusive “300” themed costume and spear. Yes, you will be able to play as the most famous Spartan in history, King Leonidas.

In addition to the “300” King Leonidas skin, you will also receive an exclusive double-sided God of War: Ascension poster.

Make sure you have your PS Plus membership activated in the coming months. For all the latest on everything PlayStation, always check back here at PS Nation.
