Rock Band DLC Ending in April

After 275 consecutive weeks and over 4,000 tracks, Harmonix announced that DLC for the Rock Band platform will be coming to an end on April 2nd.

Harmonix has been scaling down their Rock Band production over the last couple months in order to focus on their other projects and now those other projects need more time and energy from the developers which means it is time to cease DLC production. Do not worry though because until April 2nd there are still DLC tracks and Pro Guitar upgrades lined up. So expect tracks from artists that have not made their Rock Band debut as well as the continuation of their 50% off 1,100 songs sale.

As someone who has played the Rock Band games regularly since it first launched in 2007 I am sad to see support end. It was an incredible run and I have accumulated many great memories from playing Rock Band with friends.

Just a nerd from the Windy City. I’m actually really bad at describing myself because I get all self-critical and self-conscious. If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.
