Call of Duty: Ghosts Officially Announced
The next installment in the Call of Duty franchise was officially announced today after some leaks outed its existence last week. Call of Duty: Ghosts will be releasing for the PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox 360 on November 5th. Ghosts will also be released for next generation consoles, but obviously they cannot give a release date for those.
The game will be developed by Modern Warfare developer, Infinity Ward, and will run on an all new game engine that will help the transition from current to next generation systems. Mark Rubin, executive producer at Infinity Ward said, “We saw the console transition as the perfect opportunity to start a new chapter for Call of Duty. So we’re building a new sub-brand, a new engine, and a lot of new ideas and experiences for our players. We can’t wait to share them with our community.”
In continuing the Call of Duty-Microsoft love-fest the first look at Call of Duty: Ghosts will have to wait till May 21st when Microsoft announces their new Xbox machine. Till then you can check out a teaser trailer below.
