Sony: ‘The Last Guardian’ will not be at E3

PS3 Games

The online gaming community was abuzz this morning, with news that The Last Guardian would finally be appearing at E3. Alas, it seems as though it was a false alarm.

E3 Insider – an official site of the mammoth gaming expo – listed PlayStation‘s┬áperennially delayed game as being playable next week in L.A. Sony have now responded by telling Kotaku the listing is “not true” and “pure speculation”, whilst the original listing has been pulled.

Team Ico first revealed their latest project at the beginning of PS3‘s life-cycle, but with the constant postponements and general lack of news, many now assumed The Last Guardian to skip this generation and head straight to PS4. E3 Insider still stated PS3 however, so it will be interesting to see if there is in fact any substance behind this listing.

I wonder if we ever see this game materialize, I also curious what will happen to team ICO after so many delays if they ever be trusted with huge projects like this

This is becoming laughable, the fact that the nobody is speaking in terms of release and if the project still exists is unfair to both fans and gamers. At this point I’ve gone past interest to the the point off “I don’t give a rat’s ass about this game now”. You don’t show a game and then leave gamers hanging around waiting at every E3 event since it’s announcement. O_o
