PS4 Allows Used Games Doesn’t Require Online Connection
In a direct response to Microsoft’s Xbox One DRM and online requirements, Jack Tretton confirmed that you can play used games on the PlayStation 4. He even went so far as to explain what that means with a fancy slide.
- Trade in games at retail
- Sell it to another person
- Lend it to a friend
- Or keep it forever
It gets even better because Sony just dropped a handy instructional video on how used games work on the PlayStation 4.
After exciting the crowd with that announcement, Sony fired more shots confirming that there will not be an online requirement. There will be no 24 hour authentication check-in like the Xbox One.
