‘KickBeat’ release date revealed

KickBeat (B)

KickBeat, the latest title from the fantastic Zen Studios, has been given a release date of September 3rd.

Announced last year as a PlayStation Vita exclusive, the game will now be available on cross-buy for PS3 and Vita; meaning one purchase will grant you a download on both platforms.

Zen’s VP, Mel Kirk, had this to say on the decision to go cross-platform and explained what KickBeat is all about:

“We heard from so many players, asking for the game on PS3 so we put our heads down, guzzled gallons of energy drinks and just made it happen! Best of all, the game will be Cross Buy, so buy it once and enjoy it on both screens at no additional charge.

KickBeat is an award-winning music title with a hard hitting soundtrack offering players several innovative ways to interact with music. Beat-matching mechanics come to life in this kung-fu style music fighter, featuring licensed tracks from a diverse lineup of artists. KickBeat offers unlimited replayability with an in-game track generator, allowing players to use their own music to create new KickBeat tracks. Experiment with different types of music to create custom KickBeat tracks and fight to the beats that drive you!”
