PSA: Digital version of GTA V has issues

If you are one of the few people who has not already purchased your copy of Grand Theft Auto V, be warned, there seems to be an issue with the digital version of the game; the one you download through the PlayStation Store.

Xbox 360 owners are experiencing major framerate and texture issues if they install the “Play” disk on their system. Well, it seems like the PlayStation 3 digital version is having the same problems. A user on Reddit has posted information showing that the Xbox 360 problem could also affect anyone who downloads the title digitally.

“…it has texture/geometry pop-in at the exact same spots as that 360 video – fence at the pier, plants round the baywatch house(?), etc. Also has very noticeable aliasing, but not sure if that’s better on the 360.” quoted the Reddit user from people in EU.

The video below shows what the issues look like on the Xbox 360, but you can expect the same on the PlayStation 3.

Personal experience: I own the physical version of the game and still experienced this issue with my game. It runs fine after the opening cinematic.
