Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus release date revealed

PlayStation 3 gamers looking forward to their next chance to visit the world of Ratchet & Clank will be happy to hear the release date for Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus has just be announced.

Over on the PlayStation Blog, James Stevenson the Community Lead over at Insomniac Games, revealed that the latest Ratchet & Clank game will launch on November 12th for $29.99. Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus is a prologue to the Futures series that has ran through the life of the PlayStation 3 with three different titles; Tools of Destruction, Quest For Booty, A Crack in Time.

Stevenson says how excited the studio is that the Ratchet series has been a major part of the PlayStation 3 since the beginning of the system, “The truth is, we relished this ability to tie a bow on the PS3 era of Ratchet with a shorter title. All of us love the Ratchet universe – and after 12 years developing the series, it feels like a very close friend.”

Speaking more directly about Into the Nexus, “It’s a very polished self-contained return to the Ratchet adventures of yore. It’s impactful, too; filled with planet-hopping, guns blazing, joke-cracking Ratchet & Clank, and events happen here that will change Ratchet forever. Think of it as a small epic.”

Additionally, Stevenson revealed some pre-order bonuses that gamers will receive for pre-ordering the game. Pre-ordering the game at participating retailers, you will receive a code to unlock the Pyronox Armor (seen below) for Ratchet. The armor is inspired by the Gadgetron’s popular Infernox Armor. “This lightweight, durable suit is for the fashion-conscious adventurer. Besides granting a 5% damage-reduction, it also all but guarantees “Best-Dressed” awards at high-school reunions.” Also, if you pre-order through Amazon, you will get $30 worth of Ratchet & Clank themed content for PlayStation Home.
