PS4 Reaches One Million Sales in North America

PS4

Sony had a mighty fine weekend as the PS4 reached over one million consoles sold-through in just 24 hours in North America.

In an announcement on Sunday, Andrew House, President and Group CEO at Sony Computer Entertainment released the following statement:

“Sales remain very strong in North America, and we expect continued enthusiasm as we launch the PlayStation 4 in Europe and Latin America on¬†November 29. We are extremely grateful for the passion of PlayStation fans and thank them for their continued support.”

For those in North America, did you pick up a PlayStaion 4 or are you still trying to hunt one down? And for those in Europe, are you picking up a PS4 on November 29th?

Just a nerd from the Windy City. I’m actually really bad at describing myself because I get all self-critical and self-conscious. Follow me on Twitter, @The1stMJC, to see my borderline insane rants on tv shows and other non important subjects. If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.

  • 1 million units! That is awesome in only 24 hours and in only North America. Can’t even think of how many it will reach one other territories start getting it.

What a brilliant figure and in such a short space of time. The only thing that’ll affect the numbers here in the UK is that the XBone is released a week before and some people can’t wait for next gen.

I got mine and I’m hooked on Resogun. Just wish the share function worked on that game
