Golden Minecart Awards 2013: Vote NOW!

Voting is now open for the illustrious 2013 Golden Minecart Awards.

These are your awards. YOU decide, so get your votes in and make your voice heard!

Things have been changed up a bit with PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Network titles being folded into one and of course, we’ve added to PlayStation 4 to the proceedings.

This has arguably been one of the best years in gaming history and it was incredibly difficult to narrow down the nominees. The entire staff of PS Nation worked hard over the past week to present you with a list of five nominees in each category, and even so, there were a few where we couldn’t agree, leading to six nominees.

As always, if your game hasn’t been nominated there’s a write-in opportunity for every category. These are your awards after all.

Voting limits have been bumped up to twice per day (once every 12 hours) so vote as often as you can to make your voice heard.

The polls will close on Friday, January 3rd at 11pm Eastern and the results will be announced on Episode 354 or 355 of the Podcast. So what are you waiting for? Start voting now!

Good luck to all the nominees, and remember, you can vote once every 12 hours, so vote as often as you can to make your voice heard, These are YOUR awards.

    That was really tough.

  • Calvin Vesco

Man. I haven’t played most of these. Spent the year playing games from 2012 mostly

      Sounds like Chicago politics!

  • Biddaman

    Gotta love the GMAs.

  • FalseCracMedEvac

My favorite games this year… Battlefield 4, Last of Us, & AC4 (on PS4)

  • killerseyton

Have a heart, Give Puppeteer some love. That game was so fun, unique, and such a surprise. It filled me with happiness.

    • ChazzH69

Agreed. Would love to see it on Vita and PS4 one day.

  • TimHitchings

Res zero gun? Shouldn’t that be Resogun?

    • Housemarque always had it listed as RES0GUN – all caps and a zero so I followed that. They may have moved away from that as it’s confusing to search engines and such but when the PS4 launched, all literature from Housemarque had it listed that way. 😉

      • TimHitchings

Yea I did check the Housemarque site before posting and there is no vestige of that naming convention.

        • grumble, grumble, yeah they changed it.

Key line from the document from Sony / Housemarque I got before launch (which happens to be titled “RES0GUN – PS4 – Fact Sheet”)
“Welcome to RES0GUN. . . the most insanely intensive, ultra-responsive , fully HD, 60FPS shoot em, only on PlayStation®4!”

Just had to make sure I wasn’t going crazy :-/

          • TimHitchings

I believe you. Of course I had checked the press kit on their site and it’s gone from there as well

  • MidnightRider1

Had tough time between assassins 4 and resogun.

  • Daniel

Some of my standouts for the year are The last of us, Velocity Ultra, Resogun, Persona 4: Golden and Guacamelee. Other good games are tomb raider, dmc, gta v and puppeteer.

Can’t wait for the results. Hope the most deserving games / developers win!
