HBO GO Coming to PS3 and PS4

HBO_Go

HBO GO is finally arriving on PlayStation platforms soon. Over on the PlayStation Blog it was announced that HBO GO will launch on PlayStation 3 first with the PlayStation 4 version to follow sometime after. There was no specific dates given, but with HBO’s popular series, Game of Thrones new season premiering on April 6th, one would imagine the app to launch somewhere around that time.

For those unfamiliar with HBO GO, it is HBO’s streaming service that is only accessible to cable and satellite subscribers of HBO.

There you have it, the much demanded HBO GO is finally coming to PlayStation, which means you have one less reason not to watch The Wire when that annoying friend of yours freaks out that you have never seen The Wire. We get it, The Wire was a show!

  • I’m sure like everything else, this will be U.S only. But nice to see it finally come to the PS finally.

i would be more excited if you could just pay a monthly fee like netflix. I really liked HBO when I had cable but was unwilling to pay the high cost of cable to get it.

completely agree man im in the same boat. check out the g-box it’s a good deal

Would definitely like that option available. Must be something with the contracts HBO has with the service providers that maybe prevent them from doing that? Or else they just haven’t wanted to deal with direct consumer invoicing. Would think it would be a good profit for them.
