Deception IV: Blood Ties Arriving in March

Tecmo Koei is bringing back the Deception franchise with Deception IV: Blood Ties for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. The Deception series, which first started in 1996, has not had an installment since the PlayStation 2’s Trapt in 2005.

Deception IV: Blood Ties is a strategy-focused action game that follows Laegrinna, “an animated fragment of an imprisoned Devil’s soul,” who is assisted by three demons in setting traps for her enemies. The gameplay will revolve around setting up and executing traps and the player is rewarded for the traps based on how sadistic, elaborate, or humiliating the trap was for the enemy.

The PlayStation 3 version of the game will feature leaderboards where players can upload their combos and challenge others to beat their scores. While the Vita version will feature Cross Play and Cross Save, as well as touch screen controls for traps.

Deception IV: Blood Ties will arrive in North America on March 25th and across Europe on March 28th.

Just a nerd from the Windy City. I’m actually really bad at describing myself because I get all self-critical and self-conscious. Follow me on Twitter, @The1stMJC, to see my borderline insane rants on tv shows and other non important subjects. If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.
