Zen Studios have today announced a surprising new table pack for their hit pinball series – Super League Football.

Arriving on all Zen Pinball 2 platforms – including PS3, PS4 and VitaSuper League Football includes tables based on most of the world’s leading football clubs.

Arsenal and Liverpool fly the English Premier League flag, Barcelona and Real Madrid fulfill Spain’s La Liga contingent, whilst a trio of Italian Serie A teams make an appearance – Milan, Juventus and Roma.

When first starting the game, players will select their favourite club, with scores contributing to a global leaderboard. The total score for each club will then determine its place in an overall league table, so your individual performances will affect your team. For those who don’t support any of the aforementioned sides, you’ll be able to join ‘Zen Pinball FC’.

VP of Zen Studios, Mel Kirk, spoke of the inspiration behind this new direction:

World Cup Soccer (Midway 1994), is one of the greatest pinball tables ever created, and we have long been thinking about creating a modern day version football pinball table that would capture the essence of the game in today’s climate, include the biggest clubs and players, and create an exciting level of competition that makes club football so entertaining.”

There’s no word yet on price or release date, so keep an eye out for that soon on PSNation.

Meanwhile, check out the trailer below, and let us know in the comments who you will be supporting (make sure it’s Arsenal!) in Super League Football.

At first I thought this was going to be some announcement for some unlicensed Football game, like mutant league. Lolz. This is cool too though. 🙂

  • Seems like an odd idea, but looks fun. I’ll have to try the demo before I buy; not a football fan.
