Gran Turismo 5 DLC Being Taken Down on April 30th

GT5 (B)

With the online play for Gran Turismo 5 driving off into the sunset on May 30th, downloadable content for the game will see its end before that day. DLC for Gran Turismo 5 will be pulled down from the PlayStation Store on April 30th.

DLC that is already installed will have no issues being used after the online services go away, but content you delete off your hard-drive will require you to redownload them. Therefore there are some steps to help make sure you don’t lose any content once said content leaves the PlayStation Store.

With the “Racing Car Pack” and “Course Pack” in order to redownload them  an additional free piece of DLC is required, the “Family Upgrade.” This will enable you to redownload those packs even after the online services end and they are removed from the PlayStation Store.

As for the “Paint Pack” and “Racing Gear Pack” this DLC will no longer be able to be downloaded once the online services end, so once downloaded do not delete your save file because there will be no way to retrieve them after April 30th.

Gran Turismo TV will also be ending soon as programs will no longer be distributed past March 14th. For more details check out Gran Turismo’s site here.

Just a nerd from the Windy City. I’m actually really bad at describing myself because I get all self-critical and self-conscious. Follow me on Twitter, @The1stMJC, to see my borderline insane rants on tv shows and other non important subjects. If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.
