(Report) PS4 Sells Over 300k Units During Launch Weekend in Japan

PS4

According to Famitsu, the PlayStation 4 sold exactly 322,083 units during its launch weekend in Japan. These numbers if correct would be a slightly bigger launch weekend than Nintendo’s WiiU had, with that console moving 308,507 units. In other comparisons, the PS4 did significantly better than the PS3 did in its launch weekend as it only moved 88,443 units. These figures come from Famitsu and are fairly early, but Shuhei Yoshida did tweet this news from Famitsu so these number may be accurate or at the very least close to the actual sales figures.

Just a nerd from the Windy City. I’m actually really bad at describing myself because I get all self-critical and self-conscious. Follow me on Twitter, @The1stMJC, to see my borderline insane rants on tv shows and other non important subjects. If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.
