The next installment in the Borderlands franchise is coming to PS3, Xbox 360, and PC this Fall. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is being developed by 2K Australia and Gearbox Software and takes place between Borderlands 1 and Borderlands 2.

The story of the game follows four new playable characters on the moon as Handsome Jack rises to power. A new developer trailer was released to explain more on the game.

Just a nerd from the Windy City. I’m actually really bad at describing myself because I get all self-critical and self-conscious. Follow me on Twitter, @The1stMJC, to see my borderline insane rants on tv shows and other non important subjects. If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.

As an Australian and with 2k Australia doing this, I hope that they bring some Aussie humour into the mix, while staying true to the source material. Maybe something like a Harold Holt style reference (we must be the only country in the world that has lost a national leader at the beach). please no crikeys, I swear the world thinks Aussies walk around saying things like “Crikey mate, fair dinkum it’s blooming’ hot today!” Something more along the lines of the Australian TV series Rake or comedians like Kitty Flanagan or Will Anderson. looking forward to this game.
