The Last of Us: Remastered pops up on Sony’s online store UPDATED

The Last of Us Remastered PS Store

After months of speculation on whether The Last of Us is coming to the PlayStation 4 it appears that Sony have accidentally confirmed the port’s existence. An advertisement banner popped up on the Sony Entertainment Network Store for The Last of Us: Remastered. The ad, which can be seen in the image below, has the game priced at $59.99 as a “Day 1 Digital” title. There is no release date information and clicking the banner leads to an error message.

Sony has not come forward with a statement as of the writing of this post, but the day is young and this post will be updated if and when they comment on the matter.

Naughty Dog and Sony confirmed the game’s existence on the PlayStation Blog. The game is coming this summer and is being worked on by Naughty Dog and will run at 1080p with higher resolution character models, improved shadows/lighting, upgraded textures, and more. The game will also feature audio commentary on every cut scene by writer Neil Druckmann, Troy Baker, and Ashley Johnson.

The ‘Left Behind’ DLC and the multiplayer map pack DLC will also be included in the remastered package.
