If you’re wondering what the folks at Seaven Studios are doing after completing Ethan: Meteor Hunter, you can wonder no more:

Inside My Radio is a rhythm-action platformer game where you start as a little green guy living inside a broken boombox. During your quest to fix it, you journey through different musical worlds where all the actions you perform must be synchronized with the beat of the music. Let the astonishing music guide you through this beat-driven world!

History

Inside My Radio was first made by TurboDindon during Ludum Dare#23 where it won both the Overall and Audio prizes in the Jam category and came in second in both Coolness and Innovation. Today, Seaven Studio and TurboDindon are teaming up to bring a bigger, better and more polished experience of Inside My Radio! Seaven Studio and TurboDindon are good friends who met back at Hydravision where they were co-workers. When Seaven Studio finished Ethan: Meteor Hunter, TurboDindon and Inside My Radio sound designer, Joachim Neuville, who also made Ethan’s sound, suggested to make the jam prototype into a complete game. That was the beginning of the partnership!

Features

– When the music and the gameplay connect: Rhythmic awareness is required to jump, dash or slam! Never, under any circumstance, should you play on mute.

– Play different musical styles: Each world has its own musical style such as electro, disco and more. Levels bring different variations to each style too! Picture the game as a record where each level is a different track.

– When the music and the player connect: Be part of the song with your actions adding music to the track.

– Ludum Dare #23 Jam Winner is back into a full game!

With no confirmation on what platforms this will be on apart from “PC / Consoles – Digital stores,” I would expect it to appear on all the PlayStation system considering their last game came out on the PS3 and recently PS Vita. I think this came is perfect for the Vita and can’t wait to see more of it in the future.
