I’m actually a Playstation MVP, you’ve probably seen me the second day I wore a tiger hat with pockets. probably not but yes we ran in packs because we had schedules for each spot whether it be Destiny or The Order 1886, but at the third day it was pretty much do what you will. The first 2 days you’ve pretty much played all that you wanted and the third day why not use it for swagg that you couldn’t get for the first two days? I was with my wife for the last day and we went back to DriveClub to get a pin and another Shirt (mainly cuz I’m excited for that game) but its not just for me its for friends and family not lucky enough to actually go to these kind of events. I’m definitely not saying what that guy at the last day did was right but other than that I see no problems getting swagg at the last day. And this isn’t me being agree just venting my opinion on the matter.

As a PS MVP that’s a little sad to hear – if it’s true. I was with groups of MVP’s at E3 and I didn’t see any of this behavior. However, if it’s true, that’s sad and unfortunate.

We had pretty jam packed schedules, so being at E3 as a “swag run” is a bit of a stretch I think. I barely had time to even eat on some days (ugh, especially that *one* food truck). We were there not only to represent the PS community but also to find out about and “promote” the new games and tech – pretty much like any other media. I got a few shirts and a few bags for attending some of our scheduled demos, meetings, and events, but I barely got any other freebies.

But if you want to talk about people going for freebies, look at those hundreds of individuals who stood in 2 hour lines each day for Disney Infinity Marvel Super Heroes figures. Then the people who did it multiple times. I think getting one of those figures would have been cool, but I didn’t have time to stand in the line just for that. This year isn’t the only year that people go with the goal of going home with a load.

It’s sad but I don’t think it’s going to change any time soon either. There will always be people doing it.
