SCEJA Press Conference 2014 News Roundup



SCEJA’s press conference was streamed last night with a ton of game announcements across all three PlayStation platforms. As a reminder, not all of these games are confirmed for release outside of the Japan/Asia region.

  • Bladestorm: The Hundred Year’s War & Nightmare, a reboot of the Koei Tecmo game, will hit PS4 later this year.
  • Dead or Alive 5: Last Round announced by Koei Tecmo for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
  • Deemo, the mobile phone rhythm game by Reyark, will be coming to the Vita.
  • Disgaea 5 was revealed by NIS for the PS4.
  • Dragon Quest: Heroes, a collaboration between Square-Enix and Koei Tecmo, was announced for PS3 and PS4.
  • Earth Defense Fource 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair for the PS4 was shown off by D3 Publisher.
  • Fair Fencer F: Advent Dark Force by Compile Heart is coming to PS4 in 2015.
  • God Eater 2: Rage Burst, an enhanced version of Bandai Namco’s God Eater 2, is coming to PS4 and Vita.
  • Hot Shots Golf will get a PS4 iteration that will include the ability to create and share golf courses.
  • Luminous Arc Infinity will bring imageepoch’s previously DS exclusive SRPG franchise to the Vita.
  • One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3, the latest in Koei Tecmo’s series, was revealed for PS4, PS3 and Vita.
  • Persona 5, the hotly anticipated Atlus game, was revealed to be getting a PS4 release in addition to the previously announced PS3 release.
  • Resident Evil Revelations 2 was shown off by Capcom.
  • Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3, the Koei Tecmo spinoff series, was shown for Vita.
  • Senran Kagura: Estival Versus, the latest ninja-themed beat-em-up by Marvelous AQL, was announced for PS4 and Vita.
  • Summer Lesson, a Project Morpheus tech demo by Bandai Namco, will be playable at TGS.
  • Various games from the indie Touhou Project will be coming to PS4. So far, Mystery Gensokyo 3, The Genius of Sappheiros, and Touhou Sky Arena: Matsuri are the only games being shown off.
  • Way of the Samurai is coming to the Vita.
  • Yakuza 0, by Sega, will be coming to PS3 and PS4 in 2015.
  • A Ys sequel will be coming to the PS4 and Vita by way of developer Falcom.

In addition to game reveals, Sony announced that PlayStation 4’s 2.00 update and PS Vita’s 3.30 update will bring themes to both systems. Sony also revealed a pink variation of the PS Vita 2000 model for the Japan region. Vita will also be getting an app for Live from Playstation to allow Vita users to watch PS4 streams.
