PlayStation Home to Close in all Regions

HOME

PlayStation Home in North America and Europe will see its doors close on March 31, 2015. New content for PlayStation Home will cease on November 12, 2014 and content will be allowed to be downloaded up until December 3rd, 2014. For those still wandering the social hub that is PlayStation Home, Sony will be giving away free content in PlayStation Home through the months leading to the shutdown on March 31st.

This news comes a month after word got out that PlayStation Home in Japan would shutdown in March 2015.

Does the idea of PlayStation Home shutting down sadden you or intrigue you enough to give Home one last try before it goes away? And if you have any fond memories of the service, please share those stories in the comments below.

Just a nerd from the Windy City. I’m actually really bad at describing myself because I get all self-critical and self-conscious. Follow me on Twitter, @The1stMJC, to see my borderline insane rants on tv shows and other non important subjects. If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.

So in that last month, I can get all the virtual furniture I could never afford?!

Strange that it’ll close instead of evolve on the PlayStation 4 which would easily have the power to do everything they originally promised and more. It’s the end of an era.

Tbh I haven’t used Home for such a long time …..will I go bac in to bid a fond farewell maybe maybe not….. a lot of people have spent a lot of money on home so for them they will miss it and maybe will feel aggrieved…. Time moves on…..new chapters new games

Wow, this is oddly depressing. The hours I’ve spent milling about in the mini games in home are palpable. Those damn carnivals they set up stole ALOT of my money.

This also means you’ll have to redesign the top banner of the site, or at least remove the Home logo.
