Vib Ribbon Coming to PSN Tomorrow

Vib Ribbon

After some E3 teasing, the PlayStation classic Vib Ribbon is coming to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on Tuesday October 7th in North America with Europe expected to have the game next week. The music rhythm game from 1999(Japan Launch) let players use their own CD collection to make levels and that feature will be in the PlayStation 3 version of the game. A PlayStation 4 version of the game is being developed, but no release date was given at this time.

Shawn Layden, the CEO of SCEA has some history with the game as he worked with SCEE in evaluating SCEA and SCEJ titles to release in Europe during the PlayStation One era when Vib Ribbon was being developed. He tells his history with the game on the PlayStation Blog and why he wanted to bring the game back in 2014. You can read his post over at the PlayStation Blog.

Just a nerd from the Windy City. I’m actually really bad at describing myself because I get all self-critical and self-conscious. Follow me on Twitter, @The1stMJC, to see my borderline insane rants on tv shows and other non important subjects. If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.
