Capcom made it a point to show face at this year’s New York Comic Con with a good-sized floor presence and a couple of panels dedicated to their most popular IPs.  The panel I went to on the first day of the convention kicked off with a trailer for Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist; a live action web series based on the titular fighting game franchise.  Check it out below and be sure to click here if you’d like to watch every episode!  For all of you collectors out there, this project was also released on Blu-ray and DVD on October 27.

The meat of the presentation came in the form of Resident Evil HD and Resident Evil Revelations 2Capcom representatives assured us that the HD remake of the survival horror classic, Resident Evil, will feature a better camera and more modern control options.  Those of us that know the hardships of “tank” controls can appreciate that Capcom is listening to the feedback.  Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be released episodically and seeks to bring the franchise back to its darker, grittier days of hardcore survival horror and away from the action packed fifth and sixth entries in the series.  Both games will be available early 2015 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Read our hands on preview for more details about the game by clicking here.

In other, non-PlayStation news, we were shown the following tidbits for the Nintendo 3DS:

  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD – Releases December 9th at a retail price $29.99
  • Samus debuts in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
