PlayStation fans were in for a big surprise today as Masaaki Yamagiwa took to the PlayStation Blog to give us some new details and images of his up-coming PlayStation-exclusive, Bloodborne.

During Gamescom this year they announced a new location within the game, the Hemwick Graveyard, and now we know a bit more about that creepy location.

The graveyard is home to many terrifying monsters, among those are the newly revealed ‘gatekeeper hags’ which will provide a formidable opponent with their long reach and blood-curtailing screams. Further in, you’ll come across a terrifying old witch who has a passion for collecting the eyes of her defeated enemies.

Yamagiwa has also shown us a new hunter that we’ll meet during our time in Bloodborne called Gyula. Yamagiwa describes the new character as, “…an old veteran hunter who is said to possess amazing skill. No one has seen him in many years, since he ventured into the old part of Yharnam, deserted and burned to the ground after the plague of the beast took its toll there long ago.”

Throughout your time in Bloodborne you’ll travel to multiple locations and a newly revealed location, the Cainhurst castle, described as, “Seemingly abandoned and frozen over, the noble family that once lived there disappeared without a trace. Its grand stature is visible from afar even through the thick fog of the lake, but getting there won’t be easy. What happened to the family that ruled this castle for many generations? What secrets, and what dangers, await you there?”.
