The Elder Scrolls Online finally got a release date on consoles and it is dropping its monthly subscription in the process. Now called The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited the MMO will no longer require a monthly subscription when the game comes out on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 9th. The new edition of the game will include the latest content updates that are on PC including the new Justice and Champions system.

There will be an optional membership for the game that will give players access to future DLC as well as extra in-game currency for items that are for cosmetic purposes or for “convenience.”

A PlayStation Plus subscription will be required to play the game as well as the one time purchase of the actual game which is currently retailing for $59.99 on consoles.

Just a nerd from the Windy City. I’m actually really bad at describing myself because I get all self-critical and self-conscious. Follow me on Twitter, @The1stMJC, to see my borderline insane rants on tv shows and other non important subjects. If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.

Pretty stoked for the PS4 version of this. I’ve been holding myself back from the PC version and now I’m glad I did. I still have a $100 pre-order for this at Best Buy. I’m wondering if there is no more statue as it’s only listed for $60???

I’m always skeptical about MMOs that go F2P. I’m still cautiously optimistic about this though.
