Project Morpheus Out in 2016 According to Sony


GDC is where developers get together to socialize and talk shop, it is also where Sony decided to drop some Project Morpheus news. Project Morpheus is now targeting a first half 2016 release and it will have a few upgrades from what was first seen when the virtual reality device was originally announced.

Project Morpheus will now feature a 5.7 inch 1920 X RGB X 1080 resolution OLED screen, 120 hz refresh rate, a latency as low as 18ms, three more LEDs which now makes a total of 9 LEDs to better support head tracking and a new single band design with a quick release button.

There were no details on the the retail price for the VR device, but more information on that will come in due time and the device will be shown off at E3 and other major events.
