Travel to Symphony Worlds in 2016

Symphony Worlds

Empty Clips Studios today revealed their next game, Symphony Worlds. The latest game from the developers behind 2012’s Symphony is sticking with the same universe, but the game will be a completely different experience. In Symphony Worlds players explore and protect planets that are procedural creations of their music. Each world is different and the player must protect the world from a demonic force. Each world features vegetation, a weather system and a day and night cycle.

Music is the key component to the game because not only does music shape the world it is integrated into everything the player does. Music provides resources and special abilities that players will need to destroy the demons that inhabit a planet. On top of the worlds being 100% procedural they are 100% destructible which adds more randomness and difference between playthroughs.

Empty Clip Studios plan to launch a Kickstarter campaign sometime this summer for Symphony Worlds and it is expected to release in early 2016 on PC followed by consoles shortly after.

Just a nerd from the Windy City. I’m actually really bad at describing myself because I get all self-critical and self-conscious. Follow me on Twitter, @The1stMJC, to see my borderline insane rants on tv shows and other non important subjects. If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.
