SOMA Ups The Tension And Regret In New Pre-E3 Trailer

Something is happening in PATHOS-2. Communications have gone dark. Key personnel have gone missing or been declared dead in preceding weeks, and the machines are acting…strangely, almost human.

That’s what’s happening in the new sci-fi horror game from Frictional Games, the people who also made the Amnesia and Penumbra series. They recently revealed 12 minutes of gameplay if you want to see more.

I’m excited about this game, but there are only certain times in the year when I can stand to face these kinds of terrors myself. For all the other times, I’m glad there’s streaming in this day and age, so I can experience these games through the safety screen of someone else’s screen.

And hands.

SOMA is scheduled for release on PS4 and PC on September 22nd. I hope that it will be the right time for me.

A student of games, I play a bit of everything because I like to see what’s out there. Nothing better than first hand experience when it comes to knowing about games. Current game obsession: Anything MOBA (Paragon, Battleborn, Heroes of the Storm), except, ironically, the most popular ones, LoL and DOTA2.
