SUPERBEAT: XONiC First Trailer Released

This morning, PM Studios put out the first trailer and released some details on the upcoming SUPERBEAT: XONiC. In addition, they have confirmed that the game will be PS TV compatible, as that was something they said they were working on when I tried the game at E3. Also revealed was the box art for the game. The game is set to release later this year exclusively on PS Vita.

I have some interesting story behind the making of this game.

The dev behind the game is Korean company that released DJ Max Portable for the PSP. They were holding out on a new game for the Vita when Kawauchi Shiro, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Korea personally made a visit to the studio for the push.

Shiro San is probably the most beloved Japanese in Korea right now. He made so many localization (yes, Koreans have a hard time understanding English) for big titles for PlayStation that put MS Korea to shame.

Anyway, the game itself, according to the people who played it, seems mediocre, which is a shame.

I’ll give it a go once it hits the store shelves.
