Sony Computer Entertainment Officially Joins Forces With Kojima Productions


As we broke the news yesterday regarding the speculation of a joint venture between Hideo Kojima and PlayStation, we’re happy to report that we were right on the money.

No longer a rumor, conjecture or some wistful dream from the gaming community, early today, Sony Computer Entertainment announced the joint partnership with Kojima Productions. This announcement solidifies the previous statements that the new, independent studio will develop its first software title and new IP as a console exclusive to the PlayStation 4.

TOKYO, Dec. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) today announced that it has signed an agreement with Kojima Productions, a newly formed studio by the acclaimed game designer Hideo Kojima, to develop its first software title as a console exclusive to the PlayStation®4 (PS4™) computer entertainment system.
