Aliens vs. Pinball Launches Today on Zen’s Pinball Platforms

Back to the Future II was dead wrong about Jaws being the universe they’re still making movies about in 2015. They should have used the ALIEN franchise, the second movie of which, ALIENS, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and today being a new release Tuesday and ALIEN Day (4/26) on top of that, what better release day could the Aliens vs. Pinball table pack get?

Alien vs. Pinball is now available as an add on pack for Zen Pinball 2, Pinball FX2, and Amazon, as in-app purchases for Zen Pinball and as a standalone app for iOS and Android devices. It features three new tables that include voice overs and sound effects taken from the original source movies and video games of the iconic franchise.

First off, a new trailer for Aliens vs. Predator: “face off against Alien enemies and challenge your skills as you take on the role of a young Predator looking to make his mark in the Yautja ranks. Emerge victorious as you calibrate your camouflage system, collect weapons, use your advanced targeting system, destroy Alien eggs in a lightning fast multi-ball mode, collect Hunting Trophies, and experience the thrill of the hunt!”

In Aliens, “join Ellen Ripley as she confronts her nightmares and help the Colonial Marines rid LV-426 of its Alien infestation.”

The Alien: Isolation table is inspired by the 2014 survival horror game of the same name and has players helping Amanda Ripley craft weaponry, hack computers, and survive the dangerous corridors of Sevastopol Space Station while evading a merciless Xenomorph, “Working Joe” androids, and Station Security Guards.

I’m not exactly sure how many tables Zen Studios has made available to our digital pinball libraries, but I think it numbers in the 60’s or 70’s. How many of them do you have?

A student of games, I play a bit of everything because I like to see what’s out there. Nothing better than first hand experience when it comes to knowing about games. Current game obsession: Anything MOBA (Paragon, Battleborn, Heroes of the Storm), except, ironically, the most popular ones, LoL and DOTA2.
