Vote on EA Sports NHL 17 Cover Starting Today


It’s that time of year again.

In what is becoming quite the annual tradition, starting today on and on Twitter, hockey fans will be able to vote for who they want to be the next face of EA Sports NHL with the EA Sports NHL 17 Cover Vote.

Each of this year’s eight contenders was selected from one of the eight teams competing in the World Cup of Hockey 2016, representing their respective NHL and national teams.

To vote, all fans have to do is go to here. Otherwise, if Twitter is more your jam, just tweet your vote with the corresponding player’s hashtag, listed below:

Fans can vote as many times as they want, with hashtag votes counting double on “Twitter Vote Thursdays,” every Thursday.

Round 1 of voting starts today, April 26th, and goes till 3:00pm EST on May 2nd with Pavelski facing off against Kopitar, Barkov up against Benn, McDavid vs. Voracek, and Tarasenko battling Hedman. Round 2 starts May 3rd and goes the six days till May 9th (3:00pm EST) and the final round starts May 10th and ends May 16th (3:00pm EST).

The winner will be revealed at the NHL Awards in Las Vegas on June 22nd, where EA will also debut the first gameplay footage of NHL 17.

Speaking of the game, EA Sports and developer EA Canada in Vancouver would like fans to know that this year’s game will be bigger than ever, and to start the slow tease till launch, they’ve released the below trailer talking about the vision for NHL 17. Enjoy.
